I have a Realistic DX 200 and has a hum in it. Not bad, but would like to remove it.
To me, sounds like a transformer faint humming.
Is there a way I can remove it?

If you power it from DC is there still a hum? Sounds like failed capacitors in the power supply.

I do not have a jack to power it from DC.
Failed capacitors will cause this?

Yep.

If you're comfortable playing around inside the radio you can power it from a regulated power supply or parallel a large capacitor with the existing capacitors to see if the hum goes away. If it does then you're sure it's the power supply filter capacitors.

If you aren't comfortable then it's a job best left to someone who is.
