Goat373,

It was moved to this area because you are asking Radio Questions and that is what this area is designed for.

It also helps other members to only have to look in one area of the forum (Ask the Tech) to find all questions on radio equipment.

Hope this helps explain why it was moved.

Hey man do whatever rings your bell. I took my S9 out of my Jeep and put my old Cobra 29 in the Jeep, now I have a 12 year old gold face 3900 and the S9 in the house plus the Cobra 2010. The cobra 200 seems to be a better radio than my 29 so in my case it would be a step up. If you are getting good reports put the 200 in the truck and go for it. I put the S9 in the house because when I get my base station up and transmitting I will be in the house the majority of the time and thats why I put my S9 in the house. So like I said do whatever rings your bell.
Tech 808 is right about your post getting seen more here also because I only go to the open forum about once a week, I go to ask the tech several times a day and always look at new post to see if I can be of any help.

Goat, nothing bad to say about the 200GTL DX, it should do a good job in the mobile. I've heard Paul's (CEF-662) and his sounds great, no reason to think your's wouldn't as well.

I REALLY like my 257 as a base radio, I am able to use more of the features while not driving :-)
