My SWR goes high when installing a switchbox.
What gives? I am installing it so I can switch to a dummy load to tune.
My SWR is like a 1:1 to 1:2. I install this 1000 watt switchbox and goes up to a 1:4 to 1:6
My stuff is installed like this.....

Radio
TVI
Amp
Meter
Switchbox
Antenna

Now my SWR was a little high when I put TVI AFTER amp. I put TVI between radio and amp and brough it way down.

Did you ground the switch box?
What kind of switch box is it? some of them are not well made.

Its a PDC 100 watter. Seems to be good quality.
No I did not ground it but everything else is except the meter. I might give that a try.
