Not sure where this topic fits so I'll try here.Who can recommend some good qaulity headphones? Gotta sound good for 11 meters and above all must be comfortable. Right now I'm using an old pair of stereo headphones with a mono adapter. I need to upgrade.

Not sure if you have one near you but I bought a nice pair of sony padded headphones at BestBuy 2 weeks ago. Came with a mini stereo jack that I use the mono converter jack on. For those with large receptical phone jacks..these also came with that adapter. Nice and cozy too...helps this weenie station pull out the ones I WANT to hear:-)
Were like $29 or so.
Lemme see if I can find the package to post you a part number Mr Hotwire.

I have a nice pair of headphones made for use inside an aircraft - they even have a mic on them. I use them on the TS-520 when Jo Ann is sleeping (used to be ever day when she worked graveyard). The only problem is I have to remember not to talk louder when using them.

They are. The ones I have are ex-military left over from days in the Australian Airforce and used to be used inside a C-130 to communicate with the crew while I was working on avionics equipment. Some how they became "lost" when I was discharged.

I use an old pair of Pioneer stereo headphones, about 22 years old. I cut the large plug and soldered a mini plug on, connecting the left and right headphone for mono use. I also made a 25-30 foot long extension cord for them. It allows me to not only stand with the coffee but make a new pot too.
