No problem Can anyone suggest a nice sounding set of headphones for my cb? Something that sounds good and is comfortable. Right now I use an old stereo headphone with mono adapter. Kenny CEF491 |

Kenny, Dont know if they are still being made but the best set i have is made by Bently.they are the larger style, mono, tuned for the voice or communication use.another brand to look for is Narco, they even have models with microphones, look for them listed with avaionics. I also have an old set of mil surplus made by Kellogg S.A.S.co. marked Signal Corp U.S.Army Type R-14,they are real good for code and swl listening. TECH291 CEF#291 KC8ZPJ |

Get a set of Stennheiser t30ies. They are wireless and you can wonder about while you listen. |

Checked out Stennheiser website. WOW they cost alot! So far I have a Penatrater savings fund,DaveMade fund, S-9 fund, New Desk mic from Copper fund and now its looks like I need to start a headphone fund. Maybe I could just use some Sonys for a little while. |

Sennheiser makes some nice stuff, but it's pricey. I have headphones made by Koss for listening to scanners at NASCAR races and I really like them. They have passive noise cancellation to cut down on ambient nose levels, and they sound great. Unfortunately they are just mono. They make a version that has a stereo/mono switch (QZ99) which I'd definitely buy instead because I could listen to music with them too. They're $59.99 but you can get them for $50 almost everywhere. |

I have always liked Sony 7506 (aka MDR V-6). I used them exclusively in the band I play in and in the Studio. |

Bob Heil makes some really good earphones and headsets. The most comfortable, good sounding, communnication grade headphones that I have used is Kenwood's HS-5. If you just want a headphone to not disturb those around you...a "music" type, general purpose type, or anything comfortable is fine...if you want the headphones for "weak signal" work, you'll want the communications grade. You'll hear what you can't with any speaker. |
