Cbkidd1,

WELCOME TO THE COPPER FORUM!

If you are Over Modulating BACK away from the Mic and/or turn you mic gain DOWN.

You should be able to reach 100% modulation if you are using 5 watts or 500 watts.

And if you are overmodulated then the more power/mic gain you use the worse it sounds and splatters and distorts what you are trying to say.

Different people have different voices / tone of voice and need to make different adjusments when using different Radios/Mics.

The Mic settings I use on My mics do not work for the 1st Sargant and she has her own mics to usde on the same radios that I use and vice versa.

Hope this helps,

Lon

If it were I, I would contact Coppers and
ask if you can discuss your problem with there Tech. As it should not be muffled no matter
where Mic gain is set with a stock mic.

Cbkidd1,

Call Copper at 1-800-626-6343 Monday thru Friday and ask for Customer Service or the Copper Tech.

The Copper Tech DOES NOT CLIP or REMOVE ANYTHING and everything is 100% intact as it was when the radio left the factory.

When someone receives a radio from Copper they can be assured that it is set 100% to Factory Specs if the Copper Tech does the work and it will NOT void your Factory Warranty.

Also none of the Copper Forum Techs work for or are employed by Copper Electronics as we all just donate our time to help when and where we can here on the Copper Forum.

Hope this helps,

Lon

Wildrat,

Since he has not logged back in or posted I would guess he has had his problem taken care of.
