6300 is the AM/FM only version of the 6900, which is AM/FM/SSB, which is more or less a connex 4800 with some SMT. not sure what a 3900f150 is, but a 6300/150 & 6900/150 are the 150 watt versions of the other 2.

i think the 6900 either 25 or 150 watt is an excellent choice. it WAS on my list with the 4800-both of which i had some time with-(before i bought the S9), and STILL could find away into my shack someday.
