I am getting ready to set up my base station with a Yaesu FT7800R 2m/440 radio. Just curious as to what types of antennas are being used, or what would make a good base station antenna. I am considering building my antenna myself. Anythoughts on a particular antenna.... J pole... standard vertical. Most of my work will be through repeaters. Maybe some packet work.
Thanks.
Scott
