Does Copper sell LMR-400 Coax?If not, who sells it and who's the cheapest. Thanks. |

I don't know if Copper sells it or not. Check right here on their website or give them a call.
Try them first, afterall it is their website here. If they don't carry it try doing a GOOGLE search.
About any amateur radio dealer will also carry it.
I wouldn't worry about "who's the cheapest"...
they won't vary all that much.
Better to concern self with good service and, if desired, quick delivery.
Most important of all...support your favorite vendors...help keep them in business.
You'll miss them if they close up.
Will be a sad day when we have to go to Wally World for such supplies. |

Ok, think I found it for a decent price. Now, do you use normal PL-259's or do you need a special one considering the diameter of the coax? |

Get the LMR400 Ultra Flex The regular LMR400 is too stiff and the center conductor is prone to breakage. |

Normal PL-259 connectors will work.
LMR-400U is the felxible version, having a stranded center conductor rather than a solid one. Of course, it has slightly higher loss too.
Unless you are using it in an installation with a rotor (like on a beam) or for jumpers, I would stick with regular LMR-400. For installations requiring flexibility, the LMR-400U is a must. |

Wont be using a rotator so I should be good, no tight bends either. I'm glad to hear normal PL-259's will work, I just ordered a 10 pack from Copper. I'm going to use regular RG-8 for jumpers as my jumpers wont be more than 3 feet long so I'm not too worried about signal loss with that short of length, Thanks everyone for the help. |
