I ahve a 148f gtl not a dx puttting echo in it I had a cobra 29 that had a echo board in it I mared everything and removed the echo board. The power was 7.86 volts to this board and was tied to the center wire on the mic gain. I found 8.34 volts on my 148f tied in there and the same ground as the 29 no MOD.Have looked amd compared the two mic gains they look the same with a wire from mic to it center wire goes to the board this is the wire that was cut and the board wired into and a black wire that runs to the back of the board. I put the 148f back like it was and it work fine and put the echo board back in the 29 and it worked fine tried to install the board back in the 148f no mod. will key up but no mod. What have I done wrong I have installed many boards and all of them worked.
