HI, I found an antenna that resembles the maco 5/8 but has small 8inch radials at about the hafe way point. it is about 21-22 ft high and dont have any coils anywhere that I can see. I mounted my freind mounted it and swrs are 1.2 or so on 27mhz.

Does anyone know what this could be.

I dont remember if it had 3 or 4 elements. when I get to my freinds house again I`ll look.

Thanks,
AP

Roger,
just guessing at this point but sounds like a JR-27.a 5/8 vertical by Hustler.should have 3-9' radials and a coil in the base.A very good antenna in its day.

Sound's like a type I had back late 70's worked like a charm.

I do not recall the name or type but hustler does come to mind, not for sure.
