Just finished reinstalling my galaxy 95t in my truck. I decided to play around with the different bands but, something wasn't right. Everyone I heard (all four of them) sounded like elves or something. I have never messed with side bands or anything so I didn't know if this was normal or what. Anybody who can instruct me on how to actually adjust this thing I would greatly appreciate it. I lost when it comes to anything besides the normal AM and those sidebands. LSB and USB I have no idea.

BGF, on side band, to get anyone to sound half-way normal you need to use the clarifier. Just turn it in either direction from center, 12:00 position till they sound "half-way" normal. You will never be able to get everyone completely clarified at one time as any radio is liable to be off a hair in frequency in either direction. My wife say's everyone on the radio sounds like aliens when I'm using side-bands. Hope this helps some and Welcome to the Forum!

I'm not trying to be a smart ---, but you do know that to Use FM, USB or LSB, the person you are talking to must be in the same mode. On your 95t, I think the switch above the clarifier will have to be set to RX/TX or RX before the clarifier will work. In the RX/TX position, the clarifier will adjust both the transmit and receive frequency. In the RX position it will only adjust your receive frequency. When in the off position the clarifier does nothing and if you are on frequency or not will depend on how well the radio is aligned.

Oh, never considered that possibility Moon, glad someone who knows about the 95t mentioned that.
