Is changing out the panel meters of a Pyramid power supply as simple as taking out the old and putting in the new.

Both the volt and the current meters are not working right, and I found some blue led digital meters that are the same size.

Should be a simple swap correct?

It should be. You're replacing a volt and amp meter with a volt and amp meter. The only problem I can forsee is if you replace them with the wrong rating.

Hey Capt205, What model power supply do you have and what brand meters did you find to fit in the holes? I have a PS-26KX that wouldnt mind having some digital led meters installed. :-)

I have the Pyramid PS-50. Search a popular internet auction site for blue digital panel meter.

Have you already installed them? I found 3 1/2 inch volt meters and 4 1/2 inch amp meters, is this what you are using? Both of my meters are 2 1/2 inches across. How did you install them? If you have any pics would you send them to me? Thanks.

I ordered them this week, should be here any day now. I will post results, and any intall issues as soon as I get it completed.

They are listed as 3.5 inch panel meters, and the description lists them as 80mm x 45mm x 23mm
if that helps. I expect some minor fit modifications will be needed.

The meters are here, just a hair too big, but nothing I can't fix. I will be doing this mod this weekend, so I will try and get some pics and an update as to how it went.
