--Hi, all. I have a few questions regarding the Texas Star DX 350HDV. What is the minimum and maximum amperage requirement for this amp? I ask because the two power supplies I have will probably not be enough for this amp at its highest power output level. I have a 16 amp constant/20 amp surge, and a 25 amp constant/35 amp surge. I sort of figure with the variable power knob on the amp. turned all the way down, the power supply should be more than enough.

--To all of the owners of the Texas Star DX 350HDV, what is the power output "dead key" four watts, with the variable knob all the way down, and all the way clockwise? Thanks for your time and help.

25 amp constant 35 amp surge should work. AM mode no problem SSB mode takes a little more. Depnding how hard you drive it. Using the dial a watt you should have no problem at all!
I run a DX500v with 38 watt drive with a 40 amp constant 52 amp surge no trouble unless I crank SSB up to high then the breaker tripps!
With the 350 and the P.S. you have I think your in good shape. 2 watt dead key and 8 watts swing will drive the amp good. Always keep 2 watt dead key and swing as high as 20 watts max for that amp. For the DX350 on high a 60 watt deadkey and maybe 240 watt peak is probably the most you can get out of it. Most use the 1 to 4 ratio. Your swing should be 4 times that of the dead key. Example 2 DK and 8 swing. Audio sounds best using this formula. happy hookups and 73
