--Hi. I am thinking about purchasing an RCI 2950DX from Copper Electronics, and was wondering if Copper can expand the frequency coverage (I mean the 24-32Mhz expansion)? I ask because under the "OPTIONS" for this radio, it only lists "Tune and Peaking Only", and mentions nothing of frequency expansion. I just wanted to be sure that the version that Copper sells is not the non modifiable version.
--One last question. What is the wattage this radio will do on AM (RMS and Peak for AM) and SSB after the tune/peak? Thanks for answering my questions. The great prices and help I am given on this great forum is why I will keep buying from Copper Electronics! |

Mayor,
I called Suzanne in Customer Service and YES the Option does include the expansion:
OPTIONS
Tune and Peaking Only: add 30.00
As for the output power I cannot say as I have never used one before but you can call Copper at: 1-800-626-6343 and ask for the Copper Tech and he will be able to answer your question for you.
