what new 10meter radio has the best or should i say cleanest recieve best adject channel reduction.cause in my opion the 2510/26000/lincoln radios had the best recieve
n thier day and maybe still do.with all the new radios coming out what ones have as good recieve
as these older ones have

The Lincoln with mods is one heck of a good radio. However there are many good radios out there like the Mag-257 ( under 200 bucks ) the IC-718 under 600 and the FT-857 under $700.
It all depends what you need the radio for ..... a GOOD ham radio is the FT-857 or the IC-706 both go all HAM bands from 1 - 450 mhz stock out of the box. If you need 1-30 mhz the IC-718 and the FT-840 are excelent ...... but you better hurry if you want a 840 they are no longer made.
DSP is a nice touch and most now have it it will realy help cutting down on noise ..... better that the old blanker.
AVOID FT-100, FT-100D they have a very high failure rate on the outputs and the outputs cost $400 to get replaced. |

My Pres. Lincoln is a great radio no doubt, it's been my base radio since I bought it new in sept last year.
I'm fixin to order a channel guard from here to get rid of some bleedover issues, I live 2 blocks off of I-35 so can't blame the radio for that.
You're right about the Lincoln having the best recieve! It's amazing on SSB too!!!
If their's a new 10 meter radio out there that out performs it i'd like to know what model it is. |

Dale, There is so many top of the line radios to choose! I only like 10 meter radios with SSB. Some of my favorite because of recieve qaulity are.....
Connex 4800 Magnums S-9, OmegaForce, 257
RCI 2950 President Lincoln (Copper has the hookup for brand new Lincolns!)
All of these are mobiles by the way. I have heard some awesome sounding RCI Bases. Also Kenwood Yaesu amd Icom are are really good too. Probably not the best for AM since they are primary SSB rigs. Not sure but I believe HAMS do not use AM mode much. |

As a rule on 10 meters ....
SSB can be found 28.30-28.80 mhz ( 99% USB )
AM can be found 29.01-29.15 ( SOME NICE VINTAGE GEAR )
FM can be found 29.60, 29.62, 29.64, 29.66 and 29.68 ( repeater offset is -100 khz ) |

ok well i love the recieve of the 2510/lincoln but would like the output of a singlefinal2290 or
maybe even a dualfinal 2290 i myself run alot of ssb was wondering about just the 10m radios only
