liked the looks so much i had to buy one, and i just love the full size s meter.
anyone know anything about these?

I have a TRC-448 that used to really talk good.
It had about 102 channels (I think) and the mod opened up gave it excellent forward swing. It had problems with LSB some (channels that would either work or not work.) I smoked it trying to troubleshoot the LSB.
I still have it. |

they have two separate VCO's in them.
one for AM/USB and one for LSB.
that was probably why LSB wouldnt work right.
might have needed a slight adjustment to the LSB VCO coil.
mine has no modulation, and i just havent had the time or desire to sit with it and troubleshoot for hours.
tried all the easy fixes, but no luck.
mine sits on a shelf awaiting some day when i have a month off of work.LOL
