I have an older one without TB. I'm guessing the newer ones have it. The schematic for the 2517 (same board) shows that it has variable. Again I'm guessing the new 4800 doesn't have the variable available.

With that, you could find on the board J8, which has 6 pins/wires and install a resistor between pins W1 and W+. The variable is a 5K. You'll probably need to experiment with resistor values to find the best 'fit'.

Hope that helps.
