I just got an used TUG9 D104 I wired it to my Galaxy DX 77 and when you key the mic it has a bad squeal. I know it involves a resister and a disk cap but I cant for the life of me remember what the values are and how to wire them into the mic.

Can someone help me on this issue.

Wire a 4700 ohm resistor in series with audio wire and then wire a .001 or .01 microfarad ceramic disc capacitor above or below resistor then other end to shield.

HOPE THIS HELPS.

a variation I saw once (but havn't tried) years ago was to use a 10uf coil instead of a resistor along with caps to ground.
