Go online and look for QSLMAKER. I think the file name is QSLMAK.zip. It is a free program and you can then make your own using .bmp files as the background.

I have an old photo of my Grandfather hunting in the old homestead swamp as the background. The card looks cool. I get many compliments.

Works in windows XP.

Check out cheapqsls.com , that is where I buy mine. As the name implies, they ARE cheap! I have two kinds- photo cards and regular cards. They will also do dual-side cards if you like.

If I do decide to do it on my own. What kind of paper stock should I get? Does Avery have it? Thanks again.

Any color or type of paper/card stock you want to use from any office supply store like Office Max, Office Depot, Staples, or any other store that carries office supplies and YES Avery does have it.

QSL Cards, QSL Labels, Envelopes, and Address Labels CLICK HERE

All I did was go to www.google.com and in: Avery QSL Cards

Isn't GOOGLE GREAT!

I use 110 lb. card stock. 150 pieces from Walmart for around 5 bucks. Also my card was made using the Adobe Reader. Now whenever I need a card I just click on the PC and print some out then I carefully cut them down to size

This gives me an idea,Would it be ok to post on this forum that I would like to trade QSL cards with copper members.

It would be cool to get one from all the members that have cards.

Or is this a dumb idea?

OK, here's something I totally forgot. I don't have an official number issued to me. For instance, see how bruce up above has his number WA4GCH? Well, I don't have that. Can I still make a card without those numbers? Or is it pretty much a requirement to have those numbers? Thanks.

James,
having an amature callsign is not a requirement for having qsl cards printed as you can see from this link;
www.copperelectronics.com/qsl_cards/qslindex.html
some pretty cool designs there!

Nice Lon!

BTW, I can see the town of Oakdale from my house. It's about 40 miles as the crow flies. If those people waved a laser pointer at me at night, I would easily see them.

I met them at a swap meet a couple years ago, and they were both really nice. They really DO care about people getting exactly what they want on their cards. BTW, they really do not make any money on this venture, they do it for the love of the hobby I believe.

Your cards look spectacular! I like the idea you have about both you and Shirley on the same card, just check the appropriate box. Great thinking!
