The radio keys up with a very small carrier. According to the El Cheapo wattmeter I'm using, it's only keying like 1/10 of a watt. You can barely see it modulating on a scope. It does receive and has fine receive audio. It also has the PA function and it's working properly too.
Something bad happened in the rear of this radio. It got pretty hot, and something let the blue smoke roll (haha). Really, something did burn. I've replaced the parts with pieces I believe to be exact replacements, but I'm not sure. I checked the final and it was good, but I replaced it anyway. Other transistors in this area have been checked, and if in doubt, I whipped them out and replaced them.
A schematic would be so nice right now. I just want to fix this for one to have something to do. Secondly I thought about using it, why not. It's little and will fit just about anywhere.
