my friend bought a used super star 360 fm not sure what year this radio was made?but anyway did these radios come with the extras over 40 and under 40 or did they have to be converted?we found a chart online for it and it says ch 50 lets say is hi and ch 9 up but when we do that where not on ch 50 and we cant find where it is....if it did have to be converted what should we look for?

Here is the conversion procedure, maybe you can determine if its been converted or not.

Connect MB8719 Pin 8 to GND to get new Channel`s. Disconnect Yellow wire (top of CH9 switch) from Rotary Switch PCB. Connect Yellow wire to IC3 Pin 8. Disconnect Pink wire on CH9 switch (bottom of CH9 switch) and connect it together with White wire on CH9 switch (midle on CH9 switch). CH9 switch can now be used as switch for extra channels. Re-adjust L15 so the VCO oscillate properly on all channels.

You could also connect a frequency counter to it and see where your going.
