In the commercial world, im sure filters of some sort are used to prevent interference from one device to another.
Are these filters connected directly to the devices via "male to male" or inline using jumper coax's? On that same token, does it really matter? |

If you mean an Isolator, then yes, they are used almost as a rule.
Normally, they are connected via short male-to-male jumpers of double shielded coax. No, it does not really matter. Using coax is just easier since you are then able to move things around a little. |
