I am not sure about the thermal diode on the finals, but I believe it's there to cut back voltage in the event they get too hot. So you can remove them if you want to, I did and only left the one on the driver.

I'd solder D94 back together. Off the top of my head I have no idea what it's for, and surely without looking at a schematic for that radio.

If your radio is showing key-up with the transmit/receive light showing transmit on key, then I'd first the check driver & finals. If you get a key-up with a carrier and no modulation, then I'd check the large transistor located next to the power plug. The 2SB754 piece, could be a 2SB817 piece if ever changed or upgraded or if they newer radios are coming with these in place of the 754. Also directly across from it is another piece, a 2SA1012 I believe is the number. I'd check it as well. There is a capacitor in that area as well, can't recall the number off the top of my head, but it's a 100uF16v piece. Might wanna check that if you have low modulation swing.

Off the top of my head, that's all I can suggest. I'm sure others will chime in, either way we'll help ya get it fixed sooner or later.
