I oicked up a galaxy 959, most of the time it xmit's but sometimes no, you have to unplug the mic plug then push it back in without screwing down the connector on the mic cable..could it be a bad solder joint on the other side or????

tnx for any help

When you say does not transmit do you mean that you get no modulation but a dead key? Or the mic does not switch on the transmitter at all. When you key the mic does it silence the reciever? First I would be sure your coax connectors are good. Then check the connections inside the mic plug.Possible to have a cold solder joint in the radio. Also check for any debris in the male and female mic plugs. I used to own a 959. Not a bad radio at all! Wish I had it back from the guy I sold it too but he likes it to much.
