Hey guys, I have a Imax 2000 that I purchased from Copper a while ago.......Since I relocated, I seem to have broke 1 of 4 on the 6' arms on the GPK skip kit, I hate to buy a whole new set up, but was wondering if you do sell just 1 of them, Just curious, what if I were to put four 4' firesticks in there place would that do any thing or just a wasted of money.......I have a few laying around and would only have to buy 2 of them.........Thanks

I doubt any electronic store would sell
just one radial. I would stick with
using all 6' lengths for radials.
Good Luck! Hope you find one...

I don't think you should replace them with firesticks. They are 6 feet long for a reason. Probably have to buy a new kit.
Just my 2 cents, I have an Imax without the GPK and have work South America and all over USA and Canada!

Here's a hint- The GPK elements are exactly the same as the A99 top sections.

You really don't need to exactly match them. You could substitute some aluminum tubing or whatever you have around.

As far as mounting the GPK on the IMAX-2000 wouldn't it be more sensible to mount it on the top u-bolt versus the bottom one so it would be closer to the feedpoint?

anything that will thread into the hole will work if you cut it down to 72".

not the firesticks though, because they have wire wrapped around the stick, not running through it.

snapperhead, your best bet is to find a 102" fiberglass whip. (stainless steel will work fine too) cut the whip down to 72", screw it in, and you're there!
good luck,
matt
