What does VR1 control inside a cobra 29 classic? My radio keeps cutting out when you play with VR1. I have not twisted it but when I push on it with a pencile the radio recive cuts in and out. Where do I find a replacement 300 OHM pot? |

DXmodulator,
On a 29 Plus and a 29 XLR VR1 adjusts the AM signal meter. Same on the 25's (GTL, LTD, Plus).

Thanx for the help. I found a replacement trimmer pot at my bubbies bone yard and will replace it. |

vr-1 is the IF gain. vr-2 is for the am signal meter. |
