I've had a few radios do this. You can flip the switch back and forth over the channel you're having the problem with. Sometimes it helps...sometimes it doesn't.

there may be a cold solder joint on one or more of the LED leads, and the channel selector may need a good cleaning.
both jobs should take a good tech less than an hour.
if its not that, who knows.

i really think its a cold solder joint or a loose connection at the channel selector.

Knobs that cause flickers or pops and static in your radio? KIDS, DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! You might think I'm crazy but this has worked for me on several old radios. You must be very careful!!! I have taken off the channel selector knob and attached the shaft to my cordles drill and gave it a few spins in both directions. I used the lowest speed setting and only short bursts to prevent to much heat from friction inside the switch. Might stop the light flicker or might not. Its worked for me in the past for dirty problem causing rotary channel knobs.
