Has anyone had any experience with black widow mobile antennas? I can't seem to find any info on them.

no, but it looks like any other open-air, big coil DX-type antenna. short shaft appears to be due to the tremendous amount of turns in the coil. that just shortens the physical length of the antenna, probably making it less efficient then it could be. about the longest of these antennas are just under 90", solarcon made 1 about 56" or so. a bit less cost then say a wilson, performance differences, well.....

i'd say if you need a short antenna that handles 10 or 15 kw, it'll probably work fine. but, then again, if you're running 10 or 15 kw, you wanna use more antenna then that.

Pat,
Thanks for the response. Your right, this is not what I'm looking for. Although they can be custom made to your specs. I was just inquiring about the brand.
