why would i the price for s-9for about the same money i could get a 2970 |

just personal preferrence i guess.
while the 2970 is a good radio, the receive is noisier than the S9, and the digital bar type meter just plain stinks.
if you're an echo user, the S9 has it built in.
also, the S9 requires no mods to do its thing proud. not so with the 2970.
these are all just my opinions,

When my 200 went bad there was no tx on the meter
and the watt meter showed a little less then 1/2
watt. possible rd16hhf1 mosfet driver,ktb1370 or both. you have a 2 year warranty all you need to do is call cobra and they will give you the address of there repair center and make a copy of your receipt and send it. I would recommend
sending it to the clackamas,Oregon shop. I did and I got my radio back in 10 days and it works great,the guys there know what there doing.
