In the early 90's, Standard Communications (also known as Standard Horizon) made a marine CB radio that was white in color and had a rubber 'O' ring to seal the case and made it splash-proof.

Apparently, it had only 2 knobs and a couple buttons. The mic was also white plastic and splash proof.

Does anyone know the model number or any more info about it? Trying to help out a friend.

Thanks in advance!

Paul,

It sounds like the 29 or 29A models from Standard Horizon.

The "29" was a 23 channel radio and the 29A was a 40 channel radio.

What little information I have on them is listed in the Modification List under Tools.

Check to see if it has the: uPD857C PLL if it does then it is the above radio.

Hope this help's,

Lon

Thanks Lon.

I can't find a thing on that radio. The one I need is very small, and has a slightly up-skewed face panel adjustable for either viewing from above or below (dashboard or roof mounting adjustable). The display is LED's behind a smoked platic cover.

I hope someone has a picture or two so I can match these up!!

Thanks Soda.

I am trying to get the correct model number so I can do a replacement, don't need service info (yet!).

There is a cutout in the dash for the radio, which matches the Standard Horizon Eclipse (non +) VHF radio. Trying to fill hole with correct radio.

If it were me I would get on Google and do a search. You can find anything you want to know if you use the right word combo's.

WR

P.S. That's how I found info on my Standard Horizon Marine radio. It took a little while but I finally found info.. Don't ask me to do it again though.
