Does the Astatic 600 and 700 meters show RMS and Peak power? Or would the Dosy TC-4001 be a better meter of choice?

I have the 700 by Paradynamics, but it's the same meter that's sold under the Astatic name and it is peak power reading.Paradynamics is the manufacturer and some of their meters and coax switches are sold under several other names.

i have a astactic 600 by para dynamics, and it is a lot more accurate then some of the cheaper models floating around.only problem i have had with it are the meter lights

Moderator1516, I have a PDC 600 and for the life of me I can not remember where to set the modulation meter needle when I switch the dial to the set funtion. 0, +1, +2 +3
Sir, I appreciate any advice on the settings.

Nvdoug,
Modulation Meter Operation:
#1 ~ Key your microphone and rotate the modulation control (on the right) clockwise.
Adjust the Modulation to SET position.
#2 ~ Set the Modulation slide switch to MOD. The meter will show approximatly a "0" reading on the lower scale and when you begin to talk into the microphone, it should read 100%.
Higher than 100% modulation distortion (voice distoration) and is defined as over modulation.
