How detrimental would it be to have an Anton 99 sharing a pole with a two meter vertical antenna “goal post” style, three feet apart? Four feet? |

that depends...do you plan on using both at the same time??...if so...it wint work well, they will cause interferance to the other radio...
however, i have done just that, i just made sure that when i was on 2 meter...11 meter was off, and visa versa...worked like a champ |

I now have my 2 meter 10 feet under my A99 on the same tower and don't have a problem out of either.
Give it a try is all you can do but I don't think your going to have any problems at all. |

vertical seperation is the way to go(one over the other)but i think when he said "goal post style" he ment side by side, thats what i tried and why i posted my results. |

I have done just that in the past - with no trouble. In fact I also had a 6m vertical on the same cross arm so that across the top was - 6m vert, 3ft gap, A99, 3ft gap and 2m antenna.
The rule of thumb is to space the antennas so that the minimum gap is 1/4 wave at the highest frequency. Anything greater than that works.
BTW in my case the radios ran 24/7 as the A-99 was actually feeding a 27MHZ Marine radio when I was a Base Station for a Marine Rescue Unit as well as a member of WICEN (Wireless Iinstitute Civil Emergency Network). At no time did I have any trouble with any radio interfering with any other one. As an aside the guy wires were also pressed into use as HF inverted Vs. |

I have an Arrow Antennas J-Pole about 3.5' away from my Inax and really notice no Ill effects. The feed points are at the same height.

I'll let ya know how things work out. This will be the seventh antenna off my 8x14' townhouse deck. Hopefully the xyl wont notice the small addition of a 10' antenna. nyuk nyuk nyuk! |

Why do you think I used to theys on HF? It was to sneak another antenna in past my parents. It also took dad 6 years to realize why I offered to paint the back elevated deck that year - snuck another antenna (loop type) under the deck while doing that. |

OK, Antron by itself was 1.3 at 1 and 40. Now in new set up with F22a (antenna, not fighter) 1- 2.9, 20-2.5, 40-3.25 tuning rings did very little in changing swr. The rings would lower or raise swr spread but not shift it right or left. So I added a matcher and got it close to original settings. 2M antenna is dead on perfect. Cable is rg8x, 30 feet. It's 6 feet longer than I need/want. I will replace that later. |

Changed cable to RG213. SWR went up. After great loss of hair ,I got it to 1.5 at the ends and 1.3 in the middle by adding a counterpoise to the bottom bracket. |
