How do you reset a rig that ---on some channels is in AM mode and others is in FM mode ?
This rig also has 80 channels in it and they want it reset to the basic 40....also take out all 5 of the memory channels. |

I think Midland has made a couple of other rigs similar to this before / after this one. It is a unit that has a real small control piece to it...with power applied through the bottom of it, with it being either a aa battery pack...or a piece that slides on that has a cigarette lighter plug cord...and a cord with an so-239 connector on it for an external antenna.
The unit works and talks fine, I just want to mostly reset it to the stock original 40 channels in the AM mode and need some assistance on how to do it. I tried going to the MIDLAND web site, but no real help. |

Note!
Posted for Znut.
1) Open the radio by taking out the 4 screws holding the radio together.
2) Next take out the screw on the bottom.
4) Dont loose the battery spring or the clip.
5) Pull off the face of the radio and find the area that you see above.
6) You have 3 choices here for mods:
Jump pads 3 for the typical export 120 channel operation.
This will provide 40 normal CB channels,
plus 40 channels above and 40 channels below
the standard channels.
Coverage from 26.515 MHz to 27.855 MHz.
Jumper pad marked "3" and "4" for the new European 80 channel band plan.
Channels 1 -> 3 are FM mode,
Channels 4 -> 15 are AM mode,
Channels 16 -> 80 are FM mode.
Jumper "B" only gives the UK FM mode band plan.
No jumpers applied to any of these pads will allow for the U.S. channel band plan.
After changing any of these jumper pads it is necessary to jump
the 2 pads marked 'reset' for the microprocessor.
