HEY THERE I JUST GOT A RANGER 696 FREEDOM 1 CB. FIRST WHAT IS THE MAX OUTPUT POWER THIS RADIO WILL DO. MY METER SHOWS 12 WATTS MAX AFTER I PEAKED IT OUT. SECOUND IS THE RF GAIN CONTROL....EVERYTIME I TURN IT UP.. THE DB SIGNAL GOES UP AND I GET A HELLA OFF LOT OF NOISE..IS THIS NORMAL...USALLY U TURN UP THE RF GAIN AND THE NEEDLE IS NOT SUPPOSE TO GO UP. IM CONFUSED...I THINK THIS RADIO NEEDS SOME WORK DONE ON THE RF GAIN. ANY ONE RUN INTO THIS PROBLEM????
AND DOES ANYONE HAVE THE VR ADJUSTMENT CHART FOR THIS RADIO??

Same radio as the Galaxy 959. Your RF gain is functioning as it is supposed to. Turn it up andf your needle will go up
