I own 5 jacksons (3 silver and 2 black) and 1 of the blackfaced is better than the rest.The box says it is from Belguim and President is now based in France.I'm not sure how much of a difference that makes but that radio recieves and talks better than the others.Don't get me wrong, they are all great radios.They don't have the loud audio on AM,if that is what you want you should buy a Galaxy.The Jacksons will sound good on AM with a power mic, just not super loud like some people like.The Jacksons are my favorite export and I consider them very underated here in the States.They have been in production for over 20 years, I think that speaks for itself.
