i have a wawasee meter and digital freqency display that is giving a little trouble. the watt meter works perfect, but the digital freq counter may display any frequency. it only works with correct frequency when i dead key about 100-200 watts in it. then when i modulate it freaks out, and shows almost anything. also when i just dead key from 1-10 watts and swing 30-50 it will display wrong.... maybe an internal regulator or something???
any help appreciated, thanks guys.

mine does it when i dead key 1-10 watts in it, with no modulation. the only time i reads right is when i dead key 100-200 watts in it. then when i modulate it goes haywire.

my reading is incorrect with only 1-10 watts dead key. only correct reading is with 100-200 dead key. maybe a resistor or something. it would be fine if i had a correct reading at 1-10 watts dead key, as i talk local with no power added. i have a 142 with extra channels, and would like to know what frequency they are, without having to look them up on the road map.
