Anyone know any modifications for this radio Modulation/swing kit. Also is there anyway to keep it from defaulting back to amateur band when turned off. One last thing anyone know the value of one of these new in the box |

The MAGNUM MILLINIUM 3003 AM/FM radio is the same radio as the 2002 MILLINIUM except with Dual Finals.
You should expect to see 25 to 30 watts output.
The Channel Conversion is the same as the 2002 which I have listed in the Modification List
Sorry but the computer is programed to ALWAYS DEFAULT back to the 10 Meter Band.
The value of any used radio is only what someone is willing to pay for one.

--Morpheus, are you able to actually mod this radio where it will work out of the 10 meter band? I ask because I have owned two new Magnum Millennium 2002 radios and one new Magnum Millennium 3003. None of these three radios were able to be modded to the frequencies outside of ten meters, and believe me, the modification is easy. These were all new in the box, too, purchased this year, but they are difficult to find new.
--Hmm, I was just looking at a website that has a bunch of CB radio pictures and specs on it (I don't think I can list it here) and it shows two different Millennium 2002's and 3003's...one is the straight 10 meter version 28.000 - 29.699 MHz and the other is called "Export" 25.165 - 29.695 MHz. So, I guess I ended up with the NON modifiable ones, I dunno. Assuming it could have been modded, I would have liked the 3003 better, because it had the addition of the FM mode, variable power and also echo, BUT it did not have a roger beep like the 2002 did. Oh well, at least I can actually use it on the AM/FM parts of the ten meter band, so it is not a complete waste of money. |

Did you try pushing the channel selector knob in and holding it in until the display changes to get to the expanded frequency mode? |

Sorry 847 I have no modification for this radio its should already have a snuff modulation right out of the box and there no way to keep it from defaulting back to amateur band when turned off.
I gust have to do what I have to do you have to push (FUNCTION) button until it start flashing thin go to (channel selector) knob push it in or hold it in until the display changes to get to the
expanded frequency mode.
I couldn't` tell you the value of one of these radio new in the box.
