You could have a problem with the TX/RX switching transistor, Q38- 2SA1282. On receive, the colector voltage should be 0.00v....on transmit it should about 7.95v. Emitter is 8.05v all the time and base is 8.02v on rx and 7.27 on tx. if that checks-out ok, check out Q51- the 2sb754 audio driver...those would be my starting points. (yes the board is the same as used in the RCI-2950/70...The Turbo is the equivalent of a base version of the 2970)

hi checked the Q38-2sa1282.the voltages all checked out as you stated.the Q51 all checked good in the rx mode. should this driver be checked in the TX mode? i checked it both in rx & tx on am & on ssb. the voltages were not much lower in the tx mode at all.here are the voltages it gave me in AM RX mode E -13.83 C-6.28 B-13.33 .in the AM TX mode E- 13.80 C- 6.18 B-13.20 does this seem to be right? any other ideas? wishing it was just the Q38 but thats just my luck.
