I'm installing the Antron 2m/6m dual band antenna and this antenna has one single feed line to the radio.The radio itself has two output connectors - one for 160 thru 6 meters and the other for vhf/uhf(2m and 440).Do I need two jumpers from the radio connectors to a switchbox - the output of the switchbox would be the single feed line to the antenna.Or would this antenna work all the time using only HF or VHF/UHF output???

Paul, get a duplexer for it, it will have to leads one for 2m and one for 6m and one so239 on the other end for the antenna |

Take a look at this website for Comet antennas (NCG Company). They are one of the companies that make duplexers for what you want to do.

Scroll down to their model number: CF-530
This duplexer is designed to split HF/6M and 2M/440. You won't be able to run the single feedline from the antennas into just one of the S0239 connectors on the radio and have it work on both bands. You could use a coax switch as well, but that would be your choice.
I am not sure if Copper carries this type of product, but if not, any ham radio supplier of your choice should have them available
I have a comet duplexer and one of their triplexers and they both work very well. Both show virtually no change in VSWR and they also show very minimal loss through my analyzer.

OK,thank you Sonny.I thought there would be a solution other than the standard swithbox,which wouldn't be able to discern the change in frequencies.

I use a duplexer on the ic-706 works just fine with a V-2000 6/2/440 vert. |

I have the same set-up here Bruce! I've had the V-2000 up about 3 1/2 years now and it works very nice. I just use a coax switch then on the HF/6M port of the 706MkIIG to go between the 6M vertical and the HF antenna.
And yeah Paul, the duplexer is the way to go. They are a little bit costly, but it just makes things alot easier. Good luck!
