Of these three base radios, which would you choose and why? Please answer according to your own experiences with each and without speculation.

852,

The Galaxy and Ranger are both CB Radios where the Magnum is a 10 meter radio.

I have never used the Galaxy but we do have and use the Texas Ranger 696F-SSB and the Magnum S-3200B.

My personal choice is the MAGNUM S-3200B with the plug in FC-347 Frequency Display and Dual Clarifier's and JCD-201M Desk Mic for overall performance and being 100% problem free and no bells and whistles that I do not need or use.

808xyl/Shirley's personal choice is the Texas Ranger 696F-SSB.

It is also a very good radio and has been 100% problem free and performs very well.

Shirley likes the features of the Weather Alert, Talkback, and dim/bright switch, and dual meters and it works well with her Silver Salute Desk Mic.

I guess it all depends on what features or bells and whistles you want or will use on a radio.

the S-3200b has got to be the most underated under advertised radio ever a super sleeper. no bells and whistles but everything you need to talk world wide. well laid out, nice tight knobs, elegant lumination, nicley labled, with eight bands of freqs to use add the 347 plug in freq counter for continuos read and away you go. totaly trouble free. i have been using a echo max 2000 with great reports. also a great performer on side band clean sounding audio. you won't go wrong with the S-3200b.
