I have an older 23 channel radio with a bad squelch/ potentiometer and it is drastically affecting recieve. I don't want to replace it, but is it possible to bypass the squelch ? Looks to me like there may be 3 wires to it.Thanks, Jim

sure, connect two of the wires, squelch will be either at max or at minimum.

find out which wire goes to ground, and connect one of the other wires to it.
you'll know real quick which one is the right one.
good luck,
matt

PS- contact cleaner works wonders on old sticky pots.

Thanks, Matt. I'll try some contact cleaner first because I need to get some anyway, then I'll bypass the pot if that doesn't work. Thanks again for the info. and have a good one. Jim
