307 I traded for the connex I put it my pickup had alt. noise, opened it up and found that someone had wired the plug in the back of the radio hot not going through the board but to the switch on, off switch, and the gound was grounded to a can in the middle of the board. Ok changed it and ran it the way it was ment to run through the board no alt. noise but motor noise whats up with that.

There is a super CB shop money maker that says that grounding the board direct and removing the chokes will increase power output...It is a joke..Does it still have the chokes in line with the positive and negative? If so the ANL is not working...OR someone tried to tweek the ANL cans thinking they are for power has screwed the alignment up...

No the chokes were in line just went to the switch and ground on the board. I was quite but had the alt. noise. It was so quite I couldn't believe it. But I could hear real good. Long as you were going down the road you didn't hear the alt. noise just when you were sitting still. And the anl was working.
