I have a question concearning calabrating meters. I have heard if you have a 2kw meter, you can run a 9 volt battery into it and you should get a 1.2kw reading and you can adjust the meter to 1.2kw and it will be very close to you actual reading on the meter as your transmitter will put out. Is this true? I would like to get a good way to calabrate meters so I do not have to pay cb techs to do it by there over watted meters. I want mine to be a touch below actual wattage. Just a bit steengy if I might say. Any info will be good for me.

For those that can not afford a Bird Meter this would be good info. Especially when purchase a meter from someone esle. And you would have to pay shipping to send it back to the company to have them
calabrate it for you. Just a thought. It would be nice to know. And if it could be done at home.
