Bought a brand new sherman(same as cobra 148)and installed a echo board.Now I have very little receive.Checked wiring connections all seem good.Where should I start?

Start with the echo board.

Then measure the voltage at the RF receiver, and the audio amp. Chances are you are getting signal in, but when you installed the echo, you reduced the power going into the amp from the receiver section.

If on the other hand, you are not grabbing signal, you have another problem.

the weird thing is I have receive on ssb but not am,whats up with this could it be the selector switch?
