I need a good 2 meter mobile antenna preferably a magnet mount that I can use for a base antenna mounted on a metal roof. Maybe even a dual band antenna so I can upgrade to a dual band radio later. I currently have a small opek, but it is not working that good. I need to get out a little more.

try the diamond sg 7900a.. i run this antenna with great success.. i think you would be happy with this.. a little on the pricey side but well worth it. i know universal has them.

hustler makes a base loaded 5/8 wave under 20 bucks for the antenna..... i don't know what a mount goes for |

I didn't know copper sold 2 meter antennas. I'm going to order one. It looks just like what I need. I'll put this other antenna on the car. I did get it uup on the roof of my trailer. What a difference.
Bruce I did hear somebody on 146.685, but just barely.

Wendy I own 2 of the Anttron ADB-270-M 2M & 70CM magnet mount antennas. I have one on my car and the other one is in my apartment I use as a indoor base.
For under $30.00 I don't think they can be beat. |
