Since my other rig was stolen, I'm now looking for an easy way to reomve the radio without removing wiring/ant/speaker cables. Has anyone seen the mount made by Gamber Johnson, model ss-100?

Any other info or other ideas are welcome.
Thanks

slide mounts are generally a big compromise in performance.

maintaining the correct impedance with that type of antenna connection is not very likely.

if you just need a cb for talking to people near you on the freeway, and wont use an amp or anything, you might be ok.
dont expect too low of an SWR though.

much better to get quick disconnects for the power wires, and just take the extra time to spin the coax connector off the back when exiting the vehicle.
best of luck,
matt
anyone wanting a "clean signal", just look to the left and build one of these!!!
