Does anyone use a GP kit with their Imax 2000 and if so do you think it helps out in anyway, is it worth the extra cost?

I use the GPK and many others do here. Bend the tabs up to about a 45 degree angle. It will help with interference to others and will help with your receive/transmit some, don't expect miracles though. Plus it's easier to put it on when you get your antenna than when it's already up.
