Hello.........Does anyone know if there is a way to modify the Uniden Madison base to go from 27.4150 to 27.4550?
My radio has the dual switch mod connecting pins 12 11 and 10 as described in tune up manual II .
any help would be greatly appreciated......Thanks! |

Probably not. While the 8719 chip is easily modded it does leave some coverage gaps in the band.

Thanks Steve I appreciate the help. I always thought that the Cobra 2000 and Madison could be converted the same. I am glad I asked.
I also have a Voyage VR-9000......... Does anyone know if the manufacture of this radio has any plans in the future to market a base version?
Everyone in my area loves this radio! All of my friends are buying them up! I would love to see a base version.......... |
