Steve, As for the Main Board I cannot say but I would guess it will have to be new to accommodate the major changes including the Bottom Case which is the HEAT SINK. ALL MAGNUM RADIOS will will be switched over to the ERF-2030 MOSFET Finals after the LIMITED batch of 257's with the 1969 finals arrive. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9CEF CVC#2 |

Give us a GREAT and DETAILED review on the radio Lon as you know there is a bunch of folks ready to buy if the price is right and the radio performs as the regular S-9 did compared to others on the market at the time. My only concern is of the final price when it comes out, but will have to wait ad see on that. Glad I did not wait for this radio for my trip as they missed the release date by months but that is pretty common as well. At this rate I may have to ask for it for Christmas.... |

Mdiver, The Heat Sink on the S-9-80 is still located in the exact same place on the Rear of the Radio with no changes EXCEPT it is the HEAVY DUTY HEAT SINK. You can see the HEAVY DUTY HEAT SINK by CLICKING on the S-380 Review below. MAGNUM S-380 REVIEW Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9CEF CVC#2 |
